These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Conoted, a note-taking, knowledge management, and communication service (the "Service"), provided by Streltsov Company D.O.O., Dubovica bb, 85310 Budva, Montenegro ("we", "us", or "the Company"). By using Conoted, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to any provision, please refrain from using Conoted.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to register and use Conoted. If you are under 18, you must have consent from a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

2. Account Registration

When you register for Conoted, you provide personal information such as your name, email address, and optionally your Telegram or Google account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and current information
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account

You may register via Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, Telegram login, or email. Each method creates a single account; if you use multiple methods with different credentials, multiple accounts may be created unless explicitly merged.

3. Using Conoted

Conoted allows you to:

• Take personal notes for private use
• Publish notes as "public" (see Section 6 for visibility rules)
• Create and join groups for collaborative knowledge sharing
• Connect Telegram or Slack accounts to generate digests from conversations
• Build a network of contacts from various sources
• Discover experts in topics based on activity across the platform

4. User Content and Responsibilities

You retain full ownership and intellectual property rights to all notes, digests, and other content you create in Conoted ("Your Content").

You are responsible for:

• The accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of Your Content
• Complying with applicable laws, regulations, and third-party rights
• Ensuring Your Content does not infringe on anyone's privacy, copyright, or other rights

You must NOT use Conoted to:

• Send spam or engage in fraudulent activities
• Promote violence, hate speech, or discrimination
• Post illegal, pornographic, or exploitative content
• Distribute malware, phishing links, or malicious code
• Violate the terms of integrated services (Telegram, Slack, etc.)
• Compromise the functionality or security of the Service

5. AI Processing

By using Conoted, you acknowledge and consent that:

• Your notes, messages, and content may be processed by AI systems to provide features such as:
  • Automatic tagging and categorization
  • Summarization and digest generation
  • Content recommendations
  • Expert identification
• We currently use the following AI providers:
  • OpenAI (for text processing, tag clustering, and suggestions)
  • Google Gemini (for digest generation and summarization)
• These third parties have their own privacy policies and data retention practices
• We do not train AI models on your content; content is sent for inference only

You can request not to have your content processed by AI by contacting support — in this case, some features may be unavailable to your account.

6. Public Notes and Visibility

Conoted supports three visibility levels for notes:

1. Private (default) — visible only to you
2. Shared in a group — visible to members of the group where the note is posted
3. Public — visible to ALL registered Conoted users, including future users

When you mark a note as "Public", you acknowledge that:

• The full text, your name, and tags become visible to every Conoted user
• Public notes may be recommended to other users based on tag matching (Conoted's discovery features)
• Public notes are provided "as is"; Conoted does not guarantee their accuracy or reliability
• Other users may quote, reference, or screenshot your public notes

You can make a public note private at any time, but content already viewed, copied, or screenshotted by other users cannot be recalled.

Conoted's Discovery Features:

• "For You" feed shows content where you are personally involved (mentioned, invited)
• For users with established interests (5+ tags or 5+ notes), "For You" may include public notes matching their tags
• All recommended notes are clearly marked; you can disconnect/hide any individual note

You retain full intellectual property rights to your public notes. Conoted does not claim ownership.

7. Telegram and Slack Integration

If you connect a Telegram or Slack account to Conoted, you authorize us to:

• Read messages from specified channels, groups, or chats
• Parse and store message content, sender names, and timestamps
• Generate digests and summaries based on parsed content
• Identify users mentioned in parsed content as "ghost users" until they register

Important:

• We only parse content from channels/groups you explicitly add
• We do not read your private messages or contacts without explicit permission
• You are responsible for complying with the terms of Telegram, Slack, and any channel's rules regarding content redistribution
• By parsing a channel, you represent that you have the right to do so

8. Group Digests

Conoted automatically generates digests (AI-summarized content) from groups that have parsing enabled. Digests include:

• Summaries of key topics from the group period
• Mentions of active contributors
• Relevant tags and keywords

Digests are visible only to group members by default.

9. Moderation

Conoted reserves the right to:

• Remove any public content that violates these Terms or appears harmful, offensive, or illegal
• Issue warnings, suspend, or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate these Terms
• Cooperate with law enforcement in response to valid legal requests

We do not proactively moderate private or group-scoped content except when required by law or in response to abuse reports.

10. Subscriptions and Payments

10.1 Free and Paid Tiers

Conoted offers both free access and paid subscription tiers with enhanced features.

10.2 Billing

• Subscriptions are charged through Apple App Store or Google Play, subject to their respective terms
• Billing is recurring (monthly or annually) until cancelled
• You are responsible for managing your subscription through the platform where it was purchased

10.3 Cancellation

• You can cancel your subscription at any time through Apple App Store or Google Play settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
• No refunds are given for unused portions except as required by law
• Deleting the Conoted app or your Conoted account does not automatically cancel your subscription

10.4 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices. If we do, you will be notified at least 30 days before the change takes effect. You may cancel before the new price applies.

11. Disclaimers

Conoted is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy of AI-generated content (digests, tags, recommendations)
• Accuracy or reliability of content posted by other users

You use Conoted at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Service
• Any unauthorized access to your account or data
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
• Any bugs, viruses, or interruptions caused by third parties

13. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting support or through account settings.

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms
• Your account is inactive for an extended period
• Required by law or legal process

Upon termination, your content will be deleted within 30 days unless we are required to retain it by law.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified:

• Via email to the address associated with your account
• Through an in-app notification
• By posting the updated Terms at conoted.com/terms

Continued use of Conoted after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the Developer operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes shall be resolved first through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be brought in the courts of the Developer's jurisdiction.
